Why can't I see the phone number for the Booking reservation?

Booking.com reservations no longer include the guest's phone number.

Booking.com has decided that, starting from September 28, guest phone numbers will no longer be received through the connection channel (channel manager).

What is changing

From this date onwards, Booking.com will no longer transmit the guest's phone number through its connectivity channels.

As a result, for new reservations coming from Booking.com, the guest's phone number will no longer be available in the data received, either on the platform or through our API.

Therefore, the corresponding field may appear empty or contain the value 0000 for Booking.com reservations created from September 28 onwards.

Why Booking.com is making this change

This decision is part of the measures adopted by Booking.com to increase security and prevent phishing attempts.

By no longer transmitting phone numbers through third-party systems, the exposure of guests' contact information is reduced.

How to access the guest's phone number

The phone number will still be available directly on Booking.com, both through the Extranet and the Pulse app.

Users who need to access it can open the relevant reservation and select "Show phone number".

The following options will also remain available for communicating with the guest:

  • Booking.com's internal messaging system;

  • the guest's anonymous email address, which will continue to be included in the reservation data.

What remains unchanged

The change only affects the phone number received from Booking.com.

All other guest data, such as first name, last name, email address and other available information, will continue to be transmitted as usual.

Reservations coming from other connected channels will not be affected.
