Guests will receive a message on Whatsapp after you confirm their documents or immediately if online check-in is not required.
This message will contain the link to the Vikey web app to access the facility, get all the information about the flat and buy extra services.
To activate the module you have to go in the left menu of the dashboard to Modules:
Once you have found the module in the list, you have to click on ‘view Apartments’.
Once you have found the Apartment, you have to click on the tick on the right to activate the module.
When you enable the form, remember to write ‘I confirm’.
Once you have activated the module, remember to go to Settings> integrations > select your integration and click on ‘Edit’.
Once the integration is open, scroll down to ‘features’ and you will find ‘Send opening via sms’:
Thus, for all new bookings, a whatsapp message with the opening link will be sent to the customer.
NB: The changes to the integration are not retroactive, so for reservations already in Vikey, you will have to go within the booking in the ‘Notifications’ section and manually enable the opening whatsapp message:
To check if the message has been sent correctly, you can go within the booking in the ‘Notifications’ section in the bottom part; here you will find the booking history, including the result of sending the whatsapp message.
Important: in order to send messages correctly, the phone number must have the international dialling code in front of it (e.g. +39 or 0039).
Please note that if the customer does not have whatsapp, the sending will fail.
